Validation
|
| |
When main menu is displayed and "Validation" selected, 3 choices are displayed on the screen :
This "Validation" routine is proposed in order to help the users in three major phases of the irradiation process validation :
-
the loading pattern definition
-
the dosimeter positioning and readout
-
the validation report edition
|

 |
I. Loading pattern
|
| |
When main menu is displayed and "Validation" selected, choose "Loading pattern" on the screen to access this sheet.
-
Chose the identification of the product container (Treatment unit, basket, gammacell).
-
Enter the dimensions of the product container in mm.
-
Choose the type of the product (Carton, drum, bag, box).
-
Enter the dimensions of the product in mm. 3D and 2D graphs of the product arrangement in the container are automatically calculated and displayed. The filled container can be rotated by using the X, Y and Z button.
-
Bottom, top, left, right, front and rear inner sides (insulating product for example) thickness may be entered at that stage (in mm). If none type 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0 or leave the items empty.
-
If necessary, complete the position ( top or bottom) and the dimensions of an additional carton placed under or on the top of the processed products. If no additional carton, type 0,0,0 for the dimensions or leave the items empty.
If necessary, choose an arrangement rule for the arrangement calculation routine. Four choices are possible : No rule, product width vertical, product depth vertical or product height vertical. This function is used when the products have to be placed in the container in a given orientation.
-
Go further on, in order to select the number of validation planes and their positions. Here, the coordinates of the validation planes can be entered manually or calculated by the arrangement routine.
-
Select 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 according to the number of planes you want to define. Automatically the planes are shown on the right view of the screen and their coordinates displayed. You can now select the current plane with the mouse on the graph and move it to pre-defined (calculated) locations, or to any possible positions you wish.

Then, you must define the coordinates of the dosimeters on it.

- Enter manually the coordinates of the dosimeters positions by the keyboard or use the right click of the mouse to fix the position of each dosimeters at pre-defined positions. (between cardboard, in the half, third or quarter of one dimension). The dose column is kept empty at this step. The dose values will be transferred from the measurement routine.
- Enter the identifier of each dosimeter (if desired), so that they can be displayed in the measurement sheet automatically. A special identifier called "Reference" or "reference" is used for the control dosimeter for your routine treatments. If the location of this dosimeter is given, enter "Reference" or "reference" in the identifier column. This dosimeter identifier is unique for each process validation.
- Select the next plan for the dosimeter location definition by a left click on the plan number.
The product arrangement graph and the dose mapping graphs (for the current plane) can be printed out by using the printer button. |

II. Dose measurement
|
| |
When main menu is displayed and "Validation" selected, choose "Dose measurement" on the screen to access this sheet.
The general dose measurement page appears. The last validation number is displayed on the screen. See section IV.3. Dose measurement in order to use this procedure.
Here the dosimeter coordinates are automatically transferred to the readout sheet. Enter the identifier of each dosimeter (if not done in the dosimeter coordinates definition) and read them out according to section IV.3.
Remember that the dosimeter called "Reference or reference" is the control dosimeter for your routine treatments.
When dosimeter readout is complete, save and print the measurement file if needed. Transferring of the dose values and parameters to the mapping file and to the validation report is done automatically.

 |
III. Report
|
| |
When main menu is displayed and "Validation" selected, choose "Report" on the screen to access this sheet.
Progress in the sheet by filling the items with the pertinent informations.
The pre-defined or measured parameters are systematically transferred into the validation report. At the bottom of this file, the DOS date is displayed and the RQA's name may be chosen.
When the report is complete save and print it if necessary.
