This procedure sets the equipment features and Serial N° of the different devices
- Choose you name, in the operator field (click
).
- Enter the serial number of the Genesys 5 or Helios gamma spectrophotometer in the corresponding cell. This number will be automatically written, in the absorbance and wavelength check sheets.
- Enter the name and the serial number of the thickness gauge in the corresponding cell. This number will be automatically written, in the thickness gauge check sheets.
- Enter the name and the serial number of the computer and the printer in the corresponding cell.
Setting of saving section :
- Automatic save period
The data can be save automatically. Differents periods are available.
- Save Excel Files
Dosimetry data can be stored in Excel format if the user chooses YES in the dedicated item. The paths of the different file can be modified at convenient.
- Mark page ID
A mark can be put in the different foot of page of the printing out. The text can be modified at convenient for each print out.
Required Dose section
If for some product or customer, the dose should be included in an intervalley, you can put this minimum and maximun required dose in the table.
If during the measurement of the abosrbed dose of this product, the corresponding position is put in the position cell of the measurement sheet, the value of the dose will be write in red if the dose is not included in the intervalley to prevent the user.
Calibration of the motor for strip measurement :
- The fields "strip end non-count length" and "step length" are used in continuous measurement mode. The default parameters are displayed.
"Steps length" can be modified with a double click on the cell.
- Use a strip of dosimeter on which marks with a given interval of length are drawn with a black pen.
- Choose the readout wavelength of the length calibration strip and double click on this cell.
A measurement windows is opened and the readout begins as soon as the strip is installed in the motor and detected.
- At the end of the strip, close this window and a graph appears with the number of peaks marked on the strip.
- Adjust the length between the peaks with "scale +" or "scale –" buttons. The points can be moved in the grid to the left or to the right for a better setting by using the "move L" or "move R" buttons.
- When the length scale is adjusted, close this graph. The actual step length is updated and displayed on the parameter setting screen.
Uncertainty parameter section

A new table appears in the sheet :

This table groups together the values from the various sources of uncertainties serving for calculating uncertainties of the dose absorbed by a dosimeter.
Various value for every type of dosimeter are grouped together according to the wavelength of measure.
Complete the different part of the table with the values of your own studies. The data can be indicated in relative (%) or in absolved
As an example, the following table gives some data for different kind of dosimeters.

Other Fields :
- The other fields give the possibility to fix the digits for dose, uncertainty (UCTY), net absorbance (ABS/t), thickness, strip length, absorbance, ….
- Click the save button (
) before closing the file.
- A message indicates that you have to stop and run again the Aer'ODE software to take the new settings into account.
