Aérial organises in cooperation with the International Institute of Refrigeration (IIR) a conference of which the main theme is the freeze-drying.

• Basic understanding of formulation, low-temperature behaviour of solutions and alternatives to bulking agents for highly diluted systems.
• Equipment monitoring and automation.
• Use of solvents and co-solvents.
• Development of continuous processes for parenteral products and their potential coupling with a final in-line sterilization step by irradiation.
• Structure and physical properties of Freeze-Dried Products (Microscopy, BET)
• Is Process Analytical Technology (P.A.T.) compatible with a multi-step operation such as Lyophilization?
These different subjects will be presented by various international experts including in particular M. Galan, T. Jalanti, R. Luginbühl, P. Matejtschuk, J.C May, L. Rey, J. Sigg, D. Teagarden and D.Q. Wang.

Each session will comprise a keynote speech given by very well-known international scientists or technical experts, followed by 5 presentations of papers.
Potential authors are invited to submit an abstract by May 1, 2007 in order to be considered by the Programme Committee.
Authors of accepted papers shall send full papers by August 14, 2007 . Accepted papers will be allocated to appropriate sessions.
